Guest Terms & Conditions
CARVEOO | Version 1.0
Effective date: 2026-10-22
Approval: Approved by the Carveoo owner.
1. About Carveoo
Carveoo is an online marketplace connecting Guests with professional vehicle rental companies (Hosts) offering vehicles in Curaçao. The vehicles are supplied and operated by the participating Hosts, not by Carveoo. The vehicle rental arrangement is between the Guest and the relevant Host, subject to the terms displayed for the selected booking.
2. Guest eligibility
A Guest must provide accurate contact and booking information, hold a driver’s licence valid for driving in Curaçao, and satisfy the minimum driver age and any additional requirements disclosed for the selected vehicle. The Host may verify identity and licence information at pickup. A Guest must not let an unauthorized driver operate the vehicle.
3. Vehicle selection and bookings
The vehicle listing and booking review show the rental dates, pickup and return locations, relevant vehicle rules, selected options, estimated price, applicable service fees, and any security deposit details. The Guest should review those details before submitting a reservation.
A reservation being received is not automatically proof that a payment has been collected or the rental has started. Booking, payment, Host acceptance, handover and return are tracked separately. The actual status displayed for a reservation is authoritative.
4. Prices and payments
Prices may include the vehicle rental amount, optional extras, selected protection, applicable fees and taxes, and a Guest service fee displayed during booking. Any refundable security deposit must be separately described, including whether and how it is collected by the Host.
Payment collection and payment timing depend on the method disclosed at checkout. The current installation uses TEST PAYMENT: no real money will be charged. A simulated paid status is not evidence of collected funds, a refund, a bank transfer or a Host payout. Real collection, automatic refunds and external payouts remain disabled until the separately approved payment and payout integration is available.
5. Pickup and start of rental
The Host is responsible for preparing a safe, roadworthy vehicle and verifying the Guest’s identity and driving licence as required. Vehicle condition should be documented with dated photographs. The Guest should check the vehicle at pickup and promptly report visible issues.
Carveoo records the rental as started only after both the Host has confirmed handover and the Guest has confirmed receipt through the platform’s supported confirmation flow. Booking status and payment status do not themselves prove physical handover.
6. Use of the vehicle
The Guest must use the vehicle responsibly, comply with Curaçao traffic law and the Host’s disclosed rental rules, and return it at the agreed time and location. Racing, reckless or unlawful use, unauthorized drivers and prohibited off-road use are not permitted. The Guest is responsible for applicable fuel, traffic penalties and other charges legitimately attributable to use of the vehicle, subject to the rental agreement and applicable law.
7. Vehicle return
The vehicle must be returned according to the booked arrangements. The Host records physical return and its condition through the supported return workflow. Return time, damage claims or late fees should not be inferred solely from the scheduled end date or payment status. Any proposed additional charges must follow the disclosed rental conditions and review process.
8. Insurance, damage and incidents
The Host is responsible for the vehicle’s applicable rental insurance. Coverage, exclusions and deductibles depend on the Host and the protection selected for the booking. Carveoo does not itself guarantee insurance coverage. Guests should read the Insurance & Damage Policy and the Host’s vehicle-specific insurance information.
In case of an accident, breakdown, theft or damage, contact the Host promptly, follow applicable legal requirements and report the issue to Carveoo via the available reservation-support process. Preserve relevant photographs and documentation.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Each booking is subject to the Host cancellation option disclosed for that vehicle and booking: Flexible, Moderate or Strict. Read the Cancellation & Refund Policy and the booking-specific cancellation terms before reserving. This policy does not supply refund percentages or entitlements for circumstances that the disclosed terms do not define.
Major disruptive events may be handled differently under Carveoo’s Major Disruptive Events Policy.
10. Help, disputes and account conduct
Guests may contact the Host or Carveoo support concerning reservations, vehicle condition, disputes or cancellations. Carveoo may request evidence, review the available records and assist with a resolution under the relevant approved policies. Guests must not provide misleading information, harass other participants or misuse the platform.
11. Privacy and document handling
Account, booking, identification and supporting documents are handled under the applicable Privacy Policy and platform access controls. Private identification documents and internal dispute notes are not intended for public display.
12. Governing terms and future updates
These terms govern use of the Carveoo marketplace in Curaçao, subject to applicable law. Material changes will be published clearly. Required Guest or Host policy acceptance must be intentional and associated with the applicable version; creating an account, browsing or continued use alone does not replace that action.
13. Contact
Use the existing Carveoo Help Center and Contact pages for assistance.
